Himachal Pradesh

Connectivity

The airport of Chandigarh on the borders of Himachal Pradesh and the smaller airports of Gaggal-Kangra, Bhuntar-Kullu and Jubbarhatti-Shimla provide connectivity to the state. The Gaggal-Kangra airport give easy access to Kangra,Dharamshala, Chamba, Hamirpur and Una, the Bhuntar-Kullu airport to Mandi,Kullu-Manali and Lahaul-Spiti, and the Chandigarh and Jubbarhatti-Shimla airport to Shimla, Solan, Bilaspur, Mandi and Kinnaur region.

In the north, on the border with Punjab, Pathankot is the major broad gauge train station that connect to Himachal.From Pathankot, a narrow gauge train to Jogindernagar (Pathankot-Jogindernager) connects up the entire Kangra valley in a joyful journey. On the border with Haryana, Kalka and Chandigarh are the major broad gauge train stations that connects to Shimla,Himachal Pradesh.The Kalka-Shimla train track is the UNESCO World Heritage Site in itself.An engineering masterpiece Of the British era, the journey passes through some spectacular landscapes.

Day 01
(Arrive Chandigarh/Amritsar airport-Pong Dam)

Arrival at chandigarh/amritsar and proceed to pong eco village.We can also visit some of the famous
sikh temples like Anandpur gurudwara if we are travelling from Chandigarh and the famous golden
temple if we are travelling from amritsar side.

Pong Dam also known as Maharana Pratap Sagar Wildlife bird sanctuary is indeed a spectacular sight to behold! You will Get mesmerized by observing the 2 km long dam on the Beas River (longest dam
in India), surrounded by Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary which have birds of numerous species. This place is also called as the heaven for the migratory birds.

After Arrival,time to relax with some spectacular sunset views and tea.Evening at leisure with
bonfire.Dinner and overnight.
Day 02
Pong

Today we will get up early morning to catch a glimpse of the sunrise at the dam shores. We would take a short walk Through the forest to reach the beach side and catch the mesmerising sunrise.After returning we will have our breakfast and leave for a boating tour in which we will see the drowned Bathu temples, Ranser Island. We shall also take our packed lunch today and have it in the middle of Rancer island . Evening at leisure. Back to hotel and relax with bonfire. Dinner and stay at Pong Eco Village.
Day 03

Today shall be a dedicated day for birdwatching at different locations and different sessions.The early morning session shall begin around sunrise where we shall visit the areas around the property locating some resident jungle species of birds.Post breakfast session shall be around shah nahar where we shall locate some bigger birds and water fowls.Post lunch session shall be to witness the famous migratory birds.Evening at leisure with bonfire.Dinner overnight.
Day 04

After breakfast we shall leave for Naddi and visit the famous masroor Rock cut temple that is also a unesco heritage site.From there we shall visit the kangra fort and stay overnight at a quaint village – Naddi.Dinmer and overnight.
Day 05

After breakfast we shall leave for our journey to dalhousie.Today enroute we shall visit the the famous Buddha temple at mcleodganj and visit the Mcleodganj market .

Tonight’s stay shall be at a silent resort located some 9 kms above dalhousie amid the conifer forest.The awesome views of the Himalayan Ranges from kashmir shall mesmerize you from here.Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 06

Today shall be our visit to dalhousie gandhi chowk,khajjiar meadows,the famous temple and other nearby attractions.We shall also visit the market area in dalhousie from where you can buy soveigners for your friends and relatives.After that we shall return to the property and have dinner with bonfire.Overnight at hotel.
Day 07

Departure for the respective airport/railway station after the breakfast.Tour ends.
